This dark-toned reading nook was more than just a styling exercise. It was a response to a client’s request for a restful, grounded space that could bring calm into their daily life. Without saying much, it had to feel complete.

We started with structure — a layout that allowed light to graze across the wall without casting glare. Then came materials: a deep velvet armchair in midnight black, offset with an earthy ochre pillow and an ivory embroidered cushion. Floral patterned walls, done in a nearly-black matte tone, added rhythm without noise. Brass lighting and marble flooring layered in heritage, contrast, and warmth.

This small space is a reflection of our full process — one that brings architecture and interior design together under one team, from spatial planning to final styling.
